Creative CV

My Creative CV

End Papers

The end papers are a mixture of some of the images I have used for the book covers.
I wanted them to fit well with the covers so I have tried to keep it at the same colour pallet.

When the books are put together with the end papers the whole thing comes together really well.

Book Covers

The last few weeks I have been putting my images together as book covers.
I am really happy with them now but it has been hard work getting all the measurements right
to fit the books I brought to cover them with.

But fingers crossed they work and I get good feed back for them.

I have two book cover ideas for this book so i need to get some feed back on with one works best.

Once I have decided on which cover to go with my next job is to design the end papers.

For this I want to use a mixture of all the images arranged haphazard on the page.

More ink and bleach

I was not 100% happy with some of my images for the book covers so I have tried a couple of new ideas.

This one is for the book 'In The Hills,The Cities' It was made using ink and bleach and it represents the giant man made up of all the towns people that are tied together to make the giant men that have to fight each other. I have struggled with an image for this book but I think this one works the best.

This next image was done using ink and bleach again. It is for the book 'Scape Goat'.
I needed to do another image for this book because the other one was to blue
and didn't fit well with the other book images.

These next images are for the book 'The Midnight Meat Train'. I was playing around with the idea of having more than one image on the wrap round cover but I still have not decided yet.

With this idea in mind I did another image to accompany the Evil Mickey image for the book 'Dead'.

Final front cover designs........maybe

I have decided on the front cover designs for the book covers. They may change again but at the moment I am sticking with these. I want the covers to look the same and look like they belong together as a set.

These six are my favourites so far. I may add more if I have time at the end of the project.
Now we have to start thinking about what we want up in the final show and how we will display our work.

These are some examples I have found but I think I like the idea of having the books mounted on the wall and stuck together so you cant open them ? And maybe larger images up also.
